Bronze Niche Markers and Bronze Cemetery Products
Bronze cemetery niche plates, date scrolls and ground grave markers are products that American Headstones Company sells and designs. For Bronze niche markers you must check with your cemetery for rules and regulations for your specific grave location. We are a custom design company that will work with families in producing specific art designs including foreign languages that meet your cemetery rules. We use USA Manufacturing Foundries for Bronze castings and all Bronze products meet the industry standards for chemistry composition.
Bronze products have a natural patina like finish when the protective polyurethane finish wears away due to the environmental attack on the sealer. There is very little that we can do to prevent this from taking place nor can we go back in the field and restore this to a new condition. This aging process or patina is timeless and should not be considered as deterioration of your marker. Cleaning of Bronze is not recommended since most families cannot maintain a rigorous schedule of polishing and maintaining. Allowing the marker to age naturally is the best practice.
Design considerations for Bronze cast products is best done with the company that sells the product. Make sure they have a designer in house to assist you in the layout and allowing adequate space for future scroll plates. These plates are for the second person when designing a companion or double marker. When design is inadequate then you may not be able to mount a second scroll plate with the desired information such as date of passing, words of endearment and other basic data. Customization and special added touches is what people today require for that lasting tribute. Many companies offer only generic Bronze markers with limited choices due to their lack of knowledge of the casting industry and processes.
Costing is high as compared to Granite headstones. Bronze has limited design choices due to the casting process. Casting companies are limited in the USA and progress slowly in improving capabilities for new designs. Most companies operate inside their comfort zone with generic choices.
